Installed and maintained Frame Relay, ATM, and SONET, up to OC192 speeds, and associated customer premise equipment. Prototyping and engineering support for GPS sub-systems in Rockwell Collins, Government Avionics Division, Research & Development Laboratory. Production support for entire GPS product line used in the first Gulf War. Responsible for the design and development of automated production test equipment, as well as qualifying units prior to delivery to the US joint armed forces.

Joe Kaiping is a founder and CTO of Phreedom Software LCC with 15 years of experience in a wide range of disciplines including software development, database and systems administration, quality assurance, web design/administration, desktop publishing, systems automation, and project management. He spends much of his time designing and implementing development tools and internet/intranet solutions.

Prior to Phreedom Software, Mr. Kaiping worked as a team leader, senior developer, support specialist and administrator for cutting edge companies including the Phoenix newspaper (The Arizona Republic), Wolfram Research (makers of Mathematica®), Springer-Verlag, and PureCarbon.

He also founded Skylight Publishing and Consulting which provided development, search engines, support, electronic and print solutions, and web site design/administration for a number of publishing companies worldwide.
